pandora

A Poem by Lady Lazarus.

waiting for someone to come and meet me

Theres nothing clear in sight

try to occupy my anxiety

still there come the night

Come on ,what did you think would happen?

pandora trapped inside

come on what  will happen?

the living bide their time

frost bitten lips which don't mutter to anyone

want to warm them on a letter

wish I was no son

I want to see it getting better

Come on ,what did you think would happen?

pandora trapped inside

come on what  will happen?

the living bide their time

To escape I take the air

Icarus looks to the sky from his watery grave

fly where theres no one to care

You are not what I crave

Come on ,what did you think would happen?

Come on ,what did you think would happen?

Come on ,what did you think would happen?

the living bide their time....

"Come on ,what did you think would happen?"

i really love that line, and i'm not sure why. i think its cause its so snarky.

i love the line about icarus too, but the last line of that stanza seems a bit forced. maybe its because its too short.

on the whole though, very good poem.
