my cocaine

my cocaine

A Poem by J. B. Tweed
"

an attempt to capture the restless, exciting, breathless intoxication of lovers...

"

your heart makes

my soul

giddy

courageous

heavy

oblivious

complete.

you leave

me

shivering

shaking

out of control,

my soul

addicted to your

delicious

high.

gin and tonic the

novocain

to make time passing

bearable

and in the sleepless

moments

in between,

every restless

thought

bent on our

next chance

to breathe each other’s

souls.
