famished.

famished.

A Poem by J. B. Tweed
"

written for a professor when i graduated.

"

I came to you,

hungry

and

 seeking.

 What is God?

 Who is Buddha?

   Can I reach Nirvana?

   Does Zen bring peace?

We read Confucius,

 the Bible, Darwin,

and Freud.

Thich Nhat Hahn says,

“Peace is every step.”

We heard from Nietzsche,

“God is dead.”

I came to you,

hungry

and

    seeking . . .

I leave you,

famished

and

lost

 and

   so very THANKFUL.
