Trees

Trees

A Poem by Natasha Montgomery

Reinventions; a branch from my roots.
I have many branches.
Some are towering, at my core.
Some are thin, fantasies.
Some are buds, sparks I have yet to nourish and tend.
Some are far-reaching, so thin and high they can't possibly be sustained any further, they might break and snap off.
Some are sturdy, the originals, tried and true.

Reinventions. This time, I'm going up.

Flourishing.
Thriving.
Vibrant.

I have my roots. Deep. Dark. Intense.

Time to grow.
