Gone But Not

A Poem by Natasha Montgomery

I've removed myself from the picture.
But here I am.

Watching, as time passes.

The Observer.

A brief, spare offering that focuses on the way it is with all of us. Whatever the picture might be, in it or removed from it, we are always watching, as time passes. We are the observer. The greater question, though, is who exactly is this observer? Meditators and mystics have been searching for an answer for years.
