UNTITLED #4

UNTITLED #4

A Poem by JB Murray
"

Written... after pondering the question of whether or not anyone truly understands the profound messages in my songs, and has the ability to look past their own insecurities to find that meaning...

UNTITLED # 4

You say you feel sorry for me

And these feelings I harbor

As I sail from this shoreline

On these choppy waters of word

Seasick you find me

When you interpret their meanings

Their truths they elude you

But you dive further still

The stark inky blackness

I leave trailing behind me

Floats just like an anchor

In the wake of my thoughts

You see that I’m drowning

But you help pull me under

You risk less than nothing

While my words risk it all

You wish I’d seek shelter

From this oncoming storm

But I sit safe here on dry land

As it’s you I write about…
