I give up...

From my son

I give up..
I'm awkward...
I'm boring....
I try too hard where I shouldn't,
And I don't try hard enough where I should...
I hope for the best, but linger for the worse......
I'm frightened by what I see, and wish I could find courage in what I cannot believe..
I know too little, and preach too much.......
I bare only what I've learned, but act as if I've seen all the world......
I despise drama, but am a pawn to its game......
I wander so much, but hardly hunt.....
And try to see the best in others, but accept the worst....
I'm a fool....
I'm somewhat desperate....
I'm irrational with a rational tone.....
I'm not the smartest, and am scared of my own educational future...
I have no one to truly talk to, just my thoughts and music to feed my mind....
I give up, but won't back down...
I give up, but won't kneel...
I give up, but will continue...
I give up, but wonder why...
I give up, with many reasons to not give up...
So why do I feel like I want to give up...

This is so very powerful. We all feel that way sometimes and this is a perfect example of it "giving up with so many reasons not to give up". That is so simple but incredibly effective. I really like this. It's very well penned.
