Let us

Let us

A Poem by Jessica Green
"

A love that could blossom but rejected because of friendship

"

Let us glide amongst the highest sky

through clouds of air and dreams alike

Let us dance in the wind that reigns

our connected bodies and vulnerable frames

Be my friend that holds my hand whilst we

discover the world's of another land

Suggest any other than being my friend

and our bond is sure to come to an end

Let us enjoy the solice of company, the

intimate glances, the touching of skin

You've been my friendly companion for many a year

and to wound what was started will always bring tears

Let us embrace eachother as we had once as kids

and through our friendship, life will begin

Let us take leaps of faith over the valleys of youth

Let us jump over waterfalls of memories devine

Soul to soul, your hand in mine

Teach me to grow as the highest oak

as i teach you to laugh like the jolly old folk

Raise each other like the highest tides

Its crashing blows and shallow demise

Feed each other the likeliest love

Friendshop that blossoms into something unclear

Fly as the bird does, with you at my side

friend for life, dont encourage otherwise

Its all we know, its all we shall know

Let us take our steps to the yonder and far

our friendship untouched, our love, unsparked
