I want to race to the car

I want to race to the car

A Poem by Omar asrih
"

Growing up is tiring. As you grow older you experience pains that make you more and more tired. So tired it reminds you of happiness. This is happiness.

"
I want to race to the car
Run so fast I think my feet may fall off
Look behind to see my father panting trying to keep up
First to touch the car wins he says
I run and run and I always win.
I beat a grown up
I want to race to the car again
I want to feel like I’m on top of the world
No
I wish i raced to the car
To see the smile on my fathers face when I beat him
To hear my mother cheer for me again
I wish I wasn’t too tired to race to the car
I wish I could beat an adult again
To be on top of the world

If you can still go to the door, be happy for that.
