Sarah Book Publishing Scandal

"

As an experienced writer and author, I am appalled that my publisher, Sarah Books has seemingly stiffed their clients. Read these email from, the founder and his associate, and decide for yourselves people.

       ... .

Now I am really beginning to believe, more of my novels were being sold than I was let on to believe; I suspected something was amiss. I thought something stank in Denmark, because I has always been promoting myself, plus my novel(KOMEO) from coast to coast. I must have promoted to every library and bookstore in every state almost, and every county therein by internet; plus received high reviews also. The best news about any library. Once one picks any novel to purchase; its a network, and the rest in those areas follow up with a buy also. So, you can understand my concerns, when I'm told that my royalties didn't add up. And believe me; I'm not the only one. My promotional manager says-she's sure there were more books sold than we were being told about. Anyhow, in light of this suspicion; perhaps an audit can work in my favor; if there really is one. My publicist and promotional manager and I are on the same page. How do you feel?

                                          James Nuzzello
aka Jimmy Nuzz

... .

James,

I am sorry to hear about what happened to your novel(s).

... . Folks, read this email from, the founder of Sarah Book Society. This man is a surgeon, who founded Sarah Books. This individual obviously-is an intellectual, a very intelligent doctor and as a person. This simply make me suspicious; who wouldn't. How is it possible an individual, who has the wherewithal; not only to self educate himself, but also engage himself into a non-profit publishing company; which just happen to go belly-up.

... . I'm sure you're well aware that-that second rate Sarah Books is closing soon. This is best news since sliced bread, seeing as they never really promoted my novel as well I always do/did. Can we do something with this, is there other authors coming to realize that they have also been a victim of a scam by Sarah Books? Talk at me. If you were also effected by this, and are an author at dismay over these crooks; email me anytime. Thank you. And I also apologize to my fans of, "KOMEO" that my novels are no longer available through Amazon, nor perhaps Sarah Book Publishing. Its sad, its really a shame this happened so quickly. 'KOMEO' and its sequel included 'Komeo is coming...' has only been in circulation a year after its initial showcase, November 2015. And so, oh well; check out their informing me that something went wrong. I'll say something went terribly array, Sarah Books screwed over hundreds of novice authors.

Founder of Sarah Book Publishing

There's even more insult to injury. I have been working so hard-to promote my novels, and this happened just as I was getting started selling my material.

... . My publisher, Sarah Books went belly up, March 31st, 2017. This particular publishers worth was 54 million, and the founder, a surgeon which was more interested in his medical practice had taken out 102 million in loans for the past two years keeping this company afloat. Come to find-his leadership failed him miserably. In stead of facing an audit by IRS and bank regulations, it was foreclosed on. My novel, 'KOMEO' and its sequel, 'Komeo is coming...' which is included as, a duo novel suffered poor sales, although I am an expert at promoting myself; simply didn't have its desired effect, due to, what I believe was something amiss going on in hands of poor management.

I have been a short story writer for years. Also, I have another novel-in the works; 'MORTUARY Murder'; I only thank my lucky stars for not submitting this novel, because I would be in double jeopardy. Plus, I have complete publishing rights now, but am seeking a new publisher to handle my new project, plus take on 'Komeo' as well. I do not own a phone. I wrote and published my novel while being homeless, and still am. Here is a sample, as example of my efforts to promote.

Here is the cover of: My latest novel-"KOMEO" It's about a crime journalist who discovers that a serial mass murderer has been disguising himself as a homeless person in order to stalk and target vagrants as his prey. 'Newsman', the reporter turns down an offer by a detective to help them trap the criminal after he vanished. Newsman declines and goes on his own search, and doing so puts himself in jeopardy. Not only does he come close to becoming a victim many times himself, ...but the police continue to track the reporters every move in order to remove him from the case. The Newsman is a hard-nosed journalist-who knows he's protected by journalist privilege; thus continues to get himself involved in tight situations. The madness is suspenseful. This psychological suspense novel is filled with crime, dark horror and is a promising thriller for the readers. Enjoy the reading, but remember-I am not responsible for any nightmares. Thank you, Jimmy Nuzz "Be Immune to Rumor" Order Through Sarah Book Society and receive 20% off plus no shipping fee, also Amazon for the NOOK.

Connecticut author, writer of "KOMEO" . A psychological suspense novel. A true detective story about a crime journalist and-his quest to hunt and capture a serial mass murderer. A thriller novel to read. Two books in one, book two; 'Komeo is coming...'

Its sequel is included. Product Description

To the casual observer, Komeo is an old man spending his time as a trash collector. But if one were to carefully observe his behavior; roaming the streets by day while pushing a cart as an unassuming, harmless pauper, anyone’s suspicions would be aroused. Curiosity will make a journalist do crazy things, and the Newsman was no different - spying on Komeo to find out what he was really up to. As Newsman carefully watched, he noticed Komeo had unusual patterns, and would suddenly vanish from sight. As a journalist, he recognized a golden opportunity when he saw it. While waiting for Komeo to surface. Newsman snuck into his domain, sensing he must prepare himself for the worst. After realizing what was down there, he tried to alert the authorities " who turned a deaf ear, treating him as though he were a crackpot with an outlandish theory and no proof. Was Komeo a genuine serial killer disguised as a pauper, or just a harmless old man who spent his time picking through other people’s trash. James Nuzzello has been an aspiring writer for years. Writing short stories and keeping journals, he tried to work at perfecting the craft every chance he ha. In his own words, “I still am.” Wanting dearly to become a good writer, and not another “run of the mill” hack, Jimmy continued studying his English grammar books to keep from becoming too rusty he found this was his favorite pastimes. Finding that becoming a good writer is tough; Nuzzello admits that if it weren't for an active imagination he wouldn't have been able to do it. The result of that hard work and dedication is KOMEO. Also, there were articles of me, my story and about it. ***Books Daily; I have been an avid writer for years; since an early age, journaling plus short stories. An recent article has ben written on myself: James Nuzzello: Homeless Author Pens Book at Hagaman Library... .

While James Nuzzello has always enjoyed reading and writing, he never had a formal education in the area. He grew up in New Haven and East Haven and left school after the 8th grade.

James worked in several areas when he was younger in different areas of the country before losing his job and returning to East Haven. James didn’t have a place to live and has been homeless since returning. He spent time looking for a job, but didn’t have luck.

“I turned 55 and had a hard time getting work because of my age,” says James. “I always liked to write and figured I’d better write a novel. I have to generate some sort of income.”

Once James decided he would follow his passion for writing, he began heading into the Hagaman Memorial Library every day. This wasn’t the first time he had given writing a go as he has written many short stories, mostly inspired by people he has met throughout his journeys.

“All of my short stories are about people I have met, characters I’ve developed into a story,” says James, who has several short stories published on WritersCafe.org/jimmunuzz. “A writer can take a small idea and expand on it.”

After adding several stories to the website, James kept an eye on the number of views his stories had. In the beginning, the numbers were low, so he decided to start promoting his work. He created promotional cards by hand and hung flyers about his work around Yale University.

“The number of views shot up,” says James. “If you don’t promote, you won’t sell. Promoting is a good thing and it works.”

Now James is busy working to promote his novel, Komeo, a story about a crime journalist investigating murders in his hometown. The book started as a 35,000-word novella, which he submitted to publishers.

As rejection letters came back, James continued to adapt his book, which morphed into 140,000 words with a sequel as he made adjustments with each rejection. He spent every day at the library for four months, getting an exception to computer time limits.

“I made an appointment to talk with the people running the library, because when you’re on the computer, you only have an hour,” says James. “I was asking for more time. I handed him my promotional card and told him I’m a short story writer and wanted to write a novel in the library. I got permission for unlimited time.”

Finally Komeo began to get contract offers. James was interested in self-publishing, but found there were many up-front fees that would be charged and he chose to go with Sarah Book Publishing, which covered the fees to get the book published.

“A lot of authors don’t have the money to put up front and being broke, this was a good option,” says James. “I studied a lot about publishing and literature. I’ve been writing since an early age and have gotten better at it and more creative. I’m self educated and have learned to write better.”

While James has written short stories for some time, he was excited to finally have his novel published. He remembers the feeling of holding his published book in his hands for the first time.

“I was so proud of that because it was a rough road getting published,” says James. “Seeing that was a major accomplishment. Getting all those rejections let me improve it and write the sequel. I didn’t get discouraged and before you know, I ended up with a 368-page novel.”

James is not stopping at one novel. He has begun work on Mortuary Murder, a book that began as a short story while he lived in Iowa in 1989. Now James has more than five pounds of a first draft. He plans to continue work on the book and his goal is to move to Utah to finish the book.

“I’d like to send myself to some kind of college for English literature or philosophy,” says James. “I have so many short stories, I’d like to write a volume or take them and expand on them.”

Throughout his early years, James worked for printing ink companies. He began in Hamden and lived in a number of places"including Oregon, Chicago, Ohio, and Florida"to work in the field over the years.

“I’d traveled all over the country and always thought Utah would be a nice place to hang out,” says James. “When I lost my job and wound up back in Connecticut in 2011 and turned 54 or 55, I said, ‘You better write, you’re not going to get a job. You need something to earn a living at.’

New Local Connecticut Homeless Author; Writer of 'KOMEO' by Jimmy Nuzz A' psychological suspense novel. A' true detective story about a crime journalist, and-his quest to capture a serial mass murderer. A' thriller of a novel to read. Also - - - "KOMEO" is actually two novel's in one. You get the sequel, "Komeo is coming..." with the original,,,

Plus, read this preface sample of my novel "KOMEO" plus two. The sequel (Book Two) is included with your order. Also coming soon... . "MORTUARY Murder" by Jimmy Nuzz

----------Preface, straight from my novel, Komeo-------------

Bodies were being dropped off in my own neighborhood, and were being discovered all over the coast, one grisly find after another, and seeing these horrific sights caused me to yell at myself. As acting neighborhood block watcher with a background as a' crime journalist by trade, I kept my eye on an unassuming local trash picker who was roaming the neighborhood, which didn't seem to be right and didn't sit with me very well. Every fiber in my innards were saying about what I saw by caused me to watch this garbage picker's pattern. I almost went off the deep end when what I thought I saw was bodies being dumped out of his cart; which he uses to collect trash.

My name is the Newsman, and my person of interest is this trash collector named; KOMEO, who lived a life bent on terrorizing and stalking homeless people in society for his own reasons. Why he chose them as prey while roaming the streets committing mass murder may never be known. This story is more about my life as a' crime journalist rather than what causes a person to become a maniac, but the whole truth about the both of us comes out as the searching for Komeo evolves. Inside I felt this rare story was gushing to be told; after what I saw Komeo in action with my own eyes, and realized what lengths a' cannibal serial killer will take to stay on the run to hunt.

What happened after I saw bodies being dropped off was unbelievable. My neighbors were calling the police on me for spying on Komeo, and trying to convince them that this character is a danger wasn't getting any results. Everywhere I went; no one believed me. The cop's ignored this serial killer, and Komeo kept on vanishing before police could move in to make an arrest.

After many attempts and being the journalist I am, I became even more obsessed with my search. I went off the deep end from almost being killed by the killer myself, and became scared to death of Komeo. My search became more engaged for my journals, but it became more obvious to me; The Newsman, that the detectives just did not want to catch this particular serial killer.

People impose their beliefs or myths about crime journalists, which isn't really the truth about us at all. But if it makes them feel better in their imaginary world we created, than so be it, but we don't make these stories up.

I personally have found Komeo hiding out in tunnels, and back alleys; In abandoned mansions, and in places you would never imagine a' serial killer would be hiding in your neighborhoods. This is a story of one of those killers on a rampage. See for yourselves what, Newsman did to Komeo in my sequel; Its included. Another thriller in itself. Read into workings of a madman, the gut feelings, plus find out what a' crime journalist has to say about-his ordeal. Thank you, and remember this I can tell you.

"Be immune to rumor" Jimmy Nuzz.

Thank You

James J. Nuzzello.

Anyhow, in light of this suspicion; perhaps an audit can work in my favor; if there really is one. My publicist and promotional manager and I are on the same page. How do you feel?

The bottom line folks; beware of suspicions. Thank my lucky stars I didn't submit my latest novel; "Mortuary Murder" or its sequel. I wasn't too confident in Sarah Books from the beginning, and wanted to see for myself how Komeo would turn out in actual sales first, before I submitted Mortuary Murder. If I did submit my latest novel; I would be in double jeopardy. As it is, I have to start all over again; I'm right back where I started.
