Two Lonely Souls

Two lonely lost souls
searching for life
Afraid of the darkness
shy of the light

Ready to give up
on happiness at all
Wondering if loves strength
would knock down the wall

For some unknown reason
I knocked on your door
My heartbeat was fast
hoping for more

Both of us thinking
could this be the one
Or was life's search for love
all but done

After talking a while
and learning of you
Such a strange feeling happened
I thought."what do I do"

As we sensed a connection
that felt so real
I thought of how to tell you
just how I feel

One night very late
I was feeling so low
Yet for some strange reason
you seemed to know

The tears in my eyes
you said that you felt
Warmed my heart so
I thought I would melt

How you knew didn't matter
I really don't care
But thank God in heaven
that night you were there

A bond that was sealed
between your heart and mine
Maybe no longer
would we sit alone and pine

Both of us reach out
to touch one another
Hoping somehow
to further discover

Maybe a soul mate
a lover in trust
Things that we share
things we discussed

Can this possibly be
a sign from above
Do I dare tell you
about the word "love"

In a way I am scared
but I still think it true
That in such a short time
I've come to know you

Although the distance
keeps us apart
We are close to each other
heart to heart....

And I get to be the one to give you your first BEAUTIFUL! I was so glad to see this write appear as I opened my profile page just a few minutes ago. Our friend Donna has of course found a way to bring backgrounds and music here. I am finding myself more and more enjoying the other poets that I am meeting and I have already ran into some remarkable talent, far and above my meager attempts. I know that WC will be a good place for you to find and share your pen again. I am looking so forward to reading more of you. Great write my friend. I hope that you are enjoying your weekend. Blessings, Lesa

Oh my sweet precious long time friend. You have taught me so much
not just about writing by reading yours but about a long binding friendship
Over the years we have supported eachother upon the rocky road of life
and yet sailed freely upon the crest of the high tide. And now finally we have
found common ground where we can both share our hearts together.

Jim this as with all of your writings so deeply touches my heart. You write in a manner
that allows the reader to be part of your your heart words they could easily be their
heart words. E X C E L L E N T my friend
