Out Wolf

Out Wolf

A Poem by jinjahman
"

If I didn't have excellent wildlife tv to get the wolf to 'show and tell'

"
Out wolf

out
to the bog
from your cranny
over the rocks
bottoming the river
howling wishes

walk with pupeteered tail
season-stroked fur
jet-dragged eye socket edges

wizened by the wrong ways
of the country's reddest but bloodiest heart

ribbed at the brink of light
no more than a reflection
where park thaws
by scouts hut

a jeep passes
forest fruits
for the
nutty bard
who champions animal:
a wolf will not be tried
for not reading his piece
even by moonlight

There's something about the image of a wolf in the moonlight which strikes at my heart. Beautiful.

An all round solid poem. Nicely written.

"wizened by the wrong ways".. sinister, I like it! Even though I'm as pure as I wish to imagine.
Nice ending stanza too
