shell rocked

shell rocked

A Poem by jinjahman

inside the shell
 all is not well
the ceiling is a sealing
 and the
grooves are not groovy

the wash it came
and shunted this lousy frame
outward to the inward
if I had a portal
if I felt mortal
if I felt shunned
I would have my steps taken
away from any such shore

for

sailing ships
have no radar
merchants no trader;
cast-aways
a fact
of life
a trouble or fortune?

It's been a while since I read your work, J-man. I like the tempo of these lines, and the wordplay always leaves me smiling.
