For the Tale Told

For the Tale Told

A Poem by jinjahman
"

not sure if this should be classified as scary or just plain daft. Please tell me!

"
for the tale told
well before eventide
catches night's briar
of those ill-fantasised
and casts a long shadow
a shale of dark hue
breaking the indiscrete
trancey haze over you

for the time it being
so precious and rare
the moment enlightened
happened it did, upon the stair
after the light went out
the sleepers enjoined
to meet head with pillow
and vend dreams purloined

for the tale told
well before eventide
catches all manners
by finger pointed to deride
and the merry bottom
of stairwell descended
creaks a good wail
waking the child now unbefriended
