Lovers Never Understand

 

All reason leaves me at the taste of his lips

I can feel him above me and inside me

But I am left wanting

The sex is good, I’ll give him that

But I need more than just physical attention

I love the feel of his skin on mine

But I need some one to stimulate my mind

I need to be emotionally fed

And mentally inspired

Why doesn’t he understand?

If all reason escapes you at the taste of his lips, you portray happiness in the physical and demand none of the emotional. This is so often the case between men and women. The paradox being that deep down we are all seeking the same; the physical just tides us over.
