Scattered Heart

Scattered Heart

A Poem by Jessie Knight

Sometimes love hurts
You let yourself fall
And no one is there to catch you.

Sometime hearts break
Right in two
And no one is there to mend them.

Sometimes girls cry
They grow up too fast
And the world falls apart in their hands.

Oh Yes so true. Good poem.

Sadly, this poem speaks the truth of how it really is, especially into today's over pressurised world. The last stanza in particular goes straight to the heart.

Beccy.

Very relatable and thoughtful. I adored the line, "Sometimes girls cry. They grow up too fast, and the world falls apart in their hands." This quote is just too true. Not only that but some girls are shamed for doing so and I don't know why but I felt like you were almost defending them by saying that they grow up too fast. Just a thought.

A very thoughtful and nice poem. Each line holds the cold truth about heartbreak and growning up in a harsh world.

Sometimes girls do cry and yes they grow up to fast but hopefully their experiences of love grows with them. 'You let yourself fall' to me indicates that no matter what, in any relationship, you put blame on yourself and yet the only thing you may have done wrong is to love. A very nice piece of work indeed and hopefully you have grown stronger with these experiences
