Self Inflicted Misery

Self Inflicted Misery

A Poem by Lillith

Self-inflicted Misery

Don't blame me for your self-inflicted misery
I did not ruin your life
You can beat me, hate me, and chain me to the tree
I will not bleed for your sins
I will not be your demon
Your misery is your own
It is not for me to bear and yet you force me to
You are blinded by your pain
You refuse to see the truth
I can not bear your cross of pain
This is your cross to bear
I will not die for you
I will not die on your cross of hate
I will not be crucified
