Love's Inferno

Love's Inferno

A Poem by The Watcher
"

My love lives on...

"
My love for you never died.
Although its flame may have diminished.
But like a romantic campfire,
Its embers smoldered for ages.
Protected and sustained by the ashes,
Waiting to return to its former glory.

A month passed, then two, then three...
I felt terrible for letting you go.
But I was a coward and a fool.
My heart never fell out of love,
But for a moment in my mind,
I was left behind...

Then one day out of the blue,
You came back as if you knew.
Knew my pains, my fears, and my sorrows.
It reminded me of our blissful past.
And the reason why I called you "angel",
So many years ago...

You were my angel then,
And you are my angel now.
You saved me from a painful belief,
The belief that love was a myth.
And in the course of a single day,
From the ashes, my love exploded into an inferno.

I remembered the red haired angel...

Before that fateful day,
We spoke of sharing blissful happiness,
Holding hands and kindling our love,
Flowing together and conveying our intimate passions.
And then... that day became a reality...
Everything came true, and life was a miracle.

I have a special feeling in my heart.
It sings purely and it trembles in joy.
I feel like we will live as one someday.
Because you are the lantern in my darkness.
I know my love for you burns on brightly.
And nothing shall ever extinguish it.

I love you so much...
