Green Shots And Fish

Green Shots And Fish

A Poem by Teddy
"

A Dr Suessian poem about a lazy homebody in Clemson

"

One night at 10:33
My roommate said to me

“Come, let’s get in the car
And travel to the nearest bar

Or we could go out on the lake
And try to catch fish with this bait”

“No, I do not want to go out
I do not want to catch a trout

I do not want to catch a fish
I do not want to go to 356

I do not want to go to Triple T’s
I do not want to fly fish, jeez!

I do not want to get some a*s
And I do not want to catch a bass

I do not want to go with thee
I do not want to be out ’til three”

And so my roommate said to me
“Then, can you do the dishes, please?”

Seeing the pile of plates so stout,
I said, “I might as well go out”

And so, of course, we were out ’til three
Once back, my roommate said to me

“Now it’s time for you to do the dishes
And in the morning, we’ll catch some fishes”
