My Only Shine

My Only Shine

"

Short poem about being alone.

My Only Shine

I sat beneath the canvas, deep,
Of heaven, and its shining stars;
And wondered, while I fell asleep,
How they would burn in plaster jars--

All sheltered from infinite space,
But hidden for my own design
And kept behind a lock, in case

They lived to be my only shine.

About
Used to write a bunch, then stuff happened and I stopped. Was recently inspired by someone (who I don't think realizes how much it meant) to try and pick up the pieces and start anew. I'll be posting .. more..
