Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by A Foiled Soul

A man walks up,
He asks "who are you",

I can only reply:
I am an atheist,
I am a revolutionary,
I am a philosopher,
I am a soldier,
I am a scholar,
I am a source of entertainment,
I am the glue that holds so many people together,
I am the one that suffers through the pain just to make others happy,
I am the one that dies for your freedom,
I am the one that asks why?,
I am the one that can say no to injustice,
I am depressed,
So, who am I?

I am myself. I am the catalyst for society. However, there are many like me.
For I am legion, we are many,

The only words that can describe one such as myself, is God.
For who is to say who God is?
I am a god. An undeserving God. A God that takes emotional pain so that others may be happy. Physical pain so that others may work efficiently,
Mental pain so young minds can be manipulated.

So who am I really?

I... am evil.

This is sad and touching, and is a good piece to make people think twice about things, I like the meaning behind it. :)

Thanks! I thought I'd try a more philosophical approach to poetry. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
