Lyrics

A Poem by Joe Thompson
"

Different lyrics from multiple songs from different genres of music

"

I went to see the doctor of philosophy with a poster of Rasputin and a beard down to his knees

I ponder of something great my lungs will fill and then deflate

Too much is not enough nobody said this stuff makes sense were hooked again

We were young and drinking in the park

Rippled in the midnight clouds no stars at the horizon

Am I the only I know waging my hands behind my face and above my throat

Imma  go I’m just what you made God there’s not many I trust

Aint no such thing as a Satan, evil is what you make it

The Lyrics had no continuous beat to it. Most often good songs have lines that stay the same beat with each other. It does not have to be a song, just internal rhythm. If they are different they it just sounds kind of jarring. But i simply enjoyed the effort to put your voice out there!

I appreciate the confident tone of this poem. The author's voice is firm and strong...that even in the face of confusion or lack of direction, he seems sure of where he wants to go, even if he's not sure how to get there.

This poem lacked a flow to it. And a meaning didn't really stand out all that well.
