just some writing

 I'm just writing to write. Writing to fill a blank white space with a blinking cursor, blinking a beat on the screen. I could write to change the world or to inspire but I'm just writing to fill a blank space while I stare off into space. The sound of the keys tapping calms me, the rhythm of my fingers pressing the smooth black keys to hear a satisfying click with  is soothing and satisfying. It's not death defying, unless the keys were sharks that bite. I'm just writing to write.

reminds me of "Eddie and the Cruisers" and Sal saying..."we're not great, we're just some guys from Jersey making music.
If our goal is to be great writers...we will woefully fall short...but as Eddie would say.."if it is about words and the theme...then it could be great" It is about the poetry, not the poet.
