Oh flame, Oh flame

Oh flame, Oh flame

A Poem by John Doe

Oh flame, oh flame

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For there is no warmth as just as yours.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For you keep me from stumbling over the bumps on this beaten road.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For I am scared of the darkness that may come after you.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For the emptiness will swallow me into a place of no return.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For what more could be worth fighting for when the cold wind blows.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For when you weaken, I am weakened. And when you strengthen, I am strengthened.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For you radiate in ways no others can.

Oh flame, oh flame,
Don't burn out on me,
For what little would be left without a flame like you.
