When we talk about the type of house people prefer to live, there are two types available now-a-days to make a selection �" residential complex and independent house. Taking the time few years back, the concept of residential complex were not there. People used to live in independent houses, be it small or large. Now-a-days, lots of people are opting for residential complex because of the facilities they are offering while staying at one place and lack of available space to construct one’s independent house. Although, both residential complex and independent house have their own advantages and disadvantages to let people make the best selection as per their need and requirement.

Residential Complex

Ø  Advantages

1. Facility of 24*7 security, especially in situations when you away for travelling purpose or any other.

2. Hassle-free living experience with all-time water supply, power supply facility, and uninterrupted supply of cooking gas.

3. Apartments or residential societies that are constructed under a well-renowned name offer a green environment with well-maintained garden and landscape as part of the complex to let you relax and chill-out.

4. There are club facilities to give you access to facilities like sports, gym, swimming pool, etc. to live an active and healthy life.

5. Keep you away from the stress of maintaining your home with the availability of services like plumber, electrician and others, on call.

6. Availability of separate parking facility with well-defined slots per flat to let people get rid of all sorts of problems, take place with neighbors. 

7. Living in flat in a residential society or complex is better for families to get familiar with families in other apartments, especially when they do not have friends or relatives in the city.

8. Residential societies or complex offer convenience stores and other facilities that are required on day-to-day basis. This includes health facilities, grocery store for shopping, parlors, etc.

 1. Maintenance facilities come with a certain cost.

2. No freedom to make any changes or modifications to home exterior.

3. Inflexibility to expand the space for future needs.

4. Annoying noise to disturb you because of the sound from higher floor and neighboring apartment.

Independent Houses

Ø  Advantages

1. Offers high degree of freedom

2. One can construct and design the house as per the need and requirement

3. Gives you the ability to expand the space according to future needs, and modify the exterior as per the latest trend

4. High degree of privacy

5. You can construct additional floors for the purpose of rent

6. You have the freedom to develop your own garden area

7. You can also grow pets and can provide them a separate space to live

Ø  Disadvantages

1. Security is a major concern, and comes with an additional cost.

2. Facilities like sports, gym, spa and more, come at an expensive price. Also, their availability at different places will consume lot of your valuable time.

3. Power backup and water supply facilities would be expensive and managing these would be a stressful task.

4. Availability of the land as per the requirement and constructing a house on it is a problematic and hectic task.

5. Finding people for services like plumbing and electricity at an affordable cost is also a troublesome task.
