SANITY

It's a mad world.

I am sitting in the corner of the room

Illuminated by the beam of the mysterious moon

smiling,no laughing, at me, the loon

losing my sanity so soon

 

Checking my watch, yes, it's midnight

Nothing new, nothing good, nothing right

just crippling, cold, shivering fright

of the hands that gave me this blight

 

I want to hide, I want to run

I want the sky with the hopeful sun

because I can't resist my deepest want

to shoot myself with this dark deadly gun

 

Woe to you who laugh at me

You are in a mad world but I am free

you do routine but can never be

the person who always see

 

Tell them I'm dead and gone in shame

to a place where you are crazy and I am sane

bringing me back will be in vain

because this is my life, not your game.

I find this piece eerie as it spoke to me of taking one's life. Perhaps because of the lines, "because I can't resist my deepest want to shoot myself with this dark deadly gun." What added more to the eeriness is that the voice made it to appear that what he/she shall do is actually a good thing. Well-written piece Kabayan.

It's really nice...Yes, it's a mad world. Though the Joker is the mad man (antagonist) in the movie, he has a story which captivated your attention to be your inspiration in this piece.
