Heaven's Gain

Heaven's Gain

A Poem by JD Sutter
"

I wrote this poem on 12-31-10 after the death of my aunt on 12-30-10.

"
We were not yet ready to say goodbye
But Heav'n's sudden call you could not deny
Thus you departed to be with God on high

Tho' your earthly journey seemed far too brief
And we remain below with all our grief
Knowledge of your final home is our relief

The Lord is here in the midst of the rain
And while His reasons are not always plain
We know that our great loss is Heaven's great gain.

I always like tribute pieces...they reflect the inner side of us...and the words just come out...no need to think them over...just flows out naturally...
