Dead Rose

Dead Rose

A Poem by names jon but i prefer jon

You were once beautiful like a rose
But eventually you lost your soul
Time made you pay its price
And your petals went cold like ice

Your proud stalk wilted and died
The feelings I once felt for you I now hide
Because you my dear, were once beautiful
That is until the day you chose to die

There was a time when I would do anything for you
Now I am lost with no idea what to do
You possessed incomparable beauty
You hair, your skin, your features were so lovely

Then your frail little body wilted in my arms
I had vowed to protect you from any harm
Until you chose to die and leave me
Cold, hurt, desperate, and lonely

Now every day I go to your grave
And every day I leave the same
Blood red roses
And I watch as they too die and leave me
Just as you left me
