Don't leave me

A poem I made for a friend 2 years ago. We were told to write about our biggest fear, and it just so happens that my and her fear is about being left alone. My dear friends who are here for me, thanks

Are you still there?

Please be there somewhere..

I don’t like this eerie feeling,

The feeling of you leaving..

 

I want to be with you a little longer,

Stay with me.

If possible, please let it be forever.

That is what I would like to see..

 

Those mere thoughts weaken me,

How to fight back, I do not know.

I want to flee

Flee from this ever-so deafening silence.

 

I could choose to succumb to this,

But I chose to rise up and fight.

Yes, all for inner peace.

I will fight for you, my light.
