Ultraviolet Indigo

Ultraviolet Indigo

A Poem by Josh Mattheu
"

Leaving a close friend in an exotic world.

"
Snow speckled forests along the frozen coast
From the diaphragm it chants
Melodies sung centuries ago
The gravel shoreline locked in place just no longer can
Holding your hand close to my heart
The sun lashing towards our world with violence
I let go, slowly as we drift apart
Weeping at the sight of falling diamonds
It gets lonelier and lonelier the further I go
Plunging beneath the ocean’s surface
Bothering me thinking you’re left all alone
How could I allow myself to become so worthless?
Nights creeps over top of me now
The whole sky shines with the stars’ spectrum
Its ultra violent array slows on its brow
Never before in my life have I experienced such affection
