carte blanche

carte blanche

A Poem by joshua deathdealer

"
shadows give way to the light
that precedes only in drowning
here I am found and pushed
to the forefront of war

given the torch, the way is shown

the straight and narrow that flickers
among the carrion strewn highways

through the pits of the wicked I am driven

ejected out of this cadaverous vehicle
into a divine collision with the celestial

a appointment to which I am bound

the sickness is deeper than you'll
ever know or even imagine

I always find it so hard to review your writing because it is so good, theres so much imagery and I'm always left pulling every line apart to get to the meaning and yet it doesnt feel unfinished. In short, you are a very talented writer.

Thanks for sharing!

Those three lines say so much. I felt mixed emotions. I think of a driver with the pedal to the metal...driving full speed ahead. For a temporary high maybe? But this feels more like a suicide pact with fate. Live hard die hard they say....

Awesome work...good to read you again my friend.
