Summer HolidayA Poem by Josie E. Cook M. A.Nature and us...Summer Holiday
Swarms of people covering the sand, They descend on the beach With their bright towels, large umbrellas, And masses of children To build large sandcastles And read their fashion magazines in Slanted chairs covered in oil and sweat While mothers hover over toddlers With babies inside their arms, Other people splash in the rising surf Countless others are honking their horns While they clog the road near the entrance My keen senses worry about the Natural habitat What will this effect? The shorebirds or the starfish, maybe, Both in some way. "J. E. Cook ©2017 © 2017 Josie E. Cook M. A.Author's Note
