Porcelain

Porcelain

A Poem by Jessica J

Inside the darkest parts, a cure
Humility resides, disintegrates our pride
Realization impregnates our interior
Devoid our substance if left unfed

Your darkest parts are dredged
You show it to me gently
Laying all your cuts and bruises
Unprotected, situated bare

Our cracks fit together
Melding each other whole
Like porcelain figurines
Amour is glue that binds

The fire burns delicately
In our shadows peace resides
Each of us the epitome of
Each of us quintessence

Harbor me, shield me from
Violence, heartache, torches unmanned
We blend our pieces
Defend against a surge

yes, to the humility; yes, to the sharing; yes, to the melding; yes, to a safe harbor...born in the blood, your poem
