Bright Burning Sun

Bright Burning Sun

A Poem by Jessica J

A singular intention of heredity and fame

Comes slightly unbidden; fruit to wilt and stir

Low hanging branches wait patiently for change

He rolls back and forth from easy to inspired

I’ll walk lightly in; tread even lighter still

Don’t wake up the same

Shame

Crawling

Anger

I find peaceful exchanges; soft spoken phrases

Turn a corner to brick walls and shards

Find no solace in silence, no reason in words

I’ll walk lightly in; tread on softly still

He rolls back and forth from inspired to flames

Don’t wake up the same

Hard

Hearted

Pain

Soft as a feather, malignant and worn

Free floating intervals of patience and peace

Divulges deepest thoughts uncompelled

I’ll walk lightly on; tread easy still

He rolls back and forth from flames to amour

Don’t worry the same

Free

Faithful

Love
