History of Us

Delicately balanced
 teeter-totter of strings
Across the bow of silence
 coordinating a feeling
 
Each time deliberate
Each time different
Each time crushing
 
Can you reach over me
 deliver the blow a little
Softer next time
 each "no" chips foundation
 
The HAMMER of decision
 swings closer to me
Each footfall in one direction
 each bended knee straightening
Towards destination
 
See us crumble and tumble and melt...
Any other time we could have...
In any other situation there would be...
But in resistant wind and
Quicksand reflex we continue to
Torture an ill-tempered development.
