the truth

the truth

A Poem by jay
"

knowledge

"

you want to stand out

yet you try to fit in

while the only way

is not to fit in

knowledge lets you stand out from a crowd of ignorance.

In order to gain wisdom one should first be solitary

this generation lost its purpose as everyone became hostile

watching  the world from a screen instead of being out there

trapped in their own shallow followed by the uncultivated society

varnishing ignorance with fake wisdom

where sanity no longer exists

where reading a book became insufficient

where time is wasted by the iniquity of technology

proselytizing and manipulating our existence

vanquishing education

replacing knowledge with emptiness

occluding the true beauty of this world

with their ugly faces

toxifying the minds of the youth.

The world is submerged in a sea of lies

where people are drowning in their own

 sweat of shame.

Nicely captured the feeling of how shallow and fake we have become. Great work.

Thank youu
A very powerful introduction to writerscafe, Jay.
A true lament for the loss of the old fashioned values of modern society. Reflections on the corrupting influence of technology on our lives and how we are forsaking the timeless arts of reading and writing; all given birth from the experiences of our lives. We are all becoming more sheltered, bitter and less feeling towards our fellow humans.
Welcome to writerscafe, Jay. Feel free to read my work anytime.
