In this Solitude

In this Solitude

A Poem by butterfly

i got a chip on my shoulder
I took so many chances on this lover
Every day was bolder
Every touch turned colder
I didnt want any other
He can't leave her because he has to keep the image with his job
its fucked up
So I am moving on
Go and post your pictures on your social media
Go on and do what you need to do
I dont understand you
Yet I still love you
This makes me most blue
I am over you
Over everything
In this solitude I sing
I am free from foolish things
man made diamond rings and fake angel wings
I can see now it was just a spring of illusion
A mirage
Gabby made me see I was in a prison for all this time
I am not black and blue on my skin
Yet you messed me up within
I can't expect anything less
Because his internal is a mess
I pray one day you can be free from the web
I am someone you can forget
I dont want to remember
Lose my number
I dont like being the second hand lover
I dont want any other
But I can rejoice
Again I am freed
I am a survivor
His lies and COVID  can't kill my dreams
So stay vaccinated or not
we can only choose to live this life we got
But know that our connection is a string of broken beads
Yet I am happy to be free of everything
In this solitude I sing.

Solitude can bring clarity. Solitude can show us perspective. Somethings aren't worth the investment. Go take your love and bank it elsewhere. You deserve higher interest. Thank you butterfly.
