With Moonshine and Ember

For my dog nephew Percy RIParadise

His kisses were delicious

I savor his hazelnut coffee coat

I can still feel his furriness

Out of all the Percy's I have known I miss him the most

Why do we lose power in our bones?

Where is the mercy from our faith and the unknown?

All these questions  and All these answers

Become the midnight dancers

We still end up without clues

I remember you

forever and ever

the memories stay alight with moonshine and ember

My darling nephew

I wonder if you knew

Your last hour would come at 2?

What can we do?

I would give up forever for only 10 years to know you

We didnt get a choice

God calls you home with HIS voice

In my heart I also rejoice

But knowing we will part I also feel annoyed

what are the lessons we must learn

the light and life have gone never to return

the pain burned away

God took it and you with His grace

To the better place

How I still long to see your face

I cant believe our last time was yesterday

All i can say is his kisses are delicious

Love is eternal within the furriness

I know its time for you to go

To stay would only be living without hope

Returning to angel wings

The guardian of childish things

a love stronger than a thousand hot flings

Crying every night at this now diminished quality of life

what is right?

Watching one suffer from pain inside

Or feeling comfort in the arms of my sister and the kids that held you tight

the season of youth has reached the end of time
