One Last Time

One Last Time

A Poem by butterfly

I had you one last time
there was something in the sunset pink sky
and yellow twilight
I know this is a dead end road
I wish you loved me
You don’t
so NO!
I won’t
let me go
let me fly away
find someone else if all you have is a sex crave
i want a husband
I was always more than a side chick
this is something I never wanted
Cupid threw an arrow
I started to follow
blindly
I have to stop taking this drug
wildly
 i know this is not love
the temporary relief has worn off
you can’t blame the people
but the culture
that went down for generations
now here we are in the broke down nations
The sound calls me I am aware I must change stations
I will just treasure that one last time
I just needed to be in an atmosphere that felt like love
this time the faking ain’t making it
I just will never understand
you stopped smoking
gave me hoping
you would be the better man
but the sweet kisses quickly turn to quicksand
everything feels like ice
after i had you one last time
