A Shadow

A Shadow

A Poem by butterfly

I can’t forget how we fell on the bed
tangled in legs and arms
your lips found mine in the dark
while holding me so tight
I couldn’t breathe
as the earth darkened to a black winter night
I only felt your breath on me
on a pink sunset the colors fade to black and yellow
we found our way sober to the sweet mellow
deep in our kiss
God gave me this gift
a memory of sunset bliss
as his tongue reached in my lips
I bit down on it claiming this love as mine
While my hair made a mask on my face
I snuggled closer and never wanted to escape
it was too late
i drank the poison that seals my fate
i hate it
the side chick
its now who I am
I tried to run
he haunts me when he calls or comes
I can’t hide i can’t say no
i love him so
even if him is only a shadow
