The Koi Fish

The Koi Fish

A Poem by butterfly

We are forbidden
I wonder if  we were the characters from eternal sunshine of a spotless mind
would our feelings go away to hide
even Mary had the doctor twice
The heart doesn’t work in brain waves
You are ok living like a room mate
i can’t stay
though my heart aches
more and more I just distance myself away
I went to the Japanese garden
The Koi fish gave me the strength
reminding me to not let my heart harden
they will stay with me even in the lonely end
I can only wish on a shooting star
You will still see me and love me even though so very far
I will keep my feelings from this day on hidden
we will remember the memories from a distance
when you call to hear the sound of a voice and listen
to the melody of love
you reached the deepest part
the secret in my heart
my only love
but we are forbidden
God won’t allow
I will just have to find a way to carry on now
In the Japanese garden I found
the Koi fish clears away all those clouds
softening my heart so hardened filling the lonely void  I can let go now
