She stayed in the nowhere

She stayed in the nowhere

A Poem by JR

She stayed in the nowhere
planted dogwoods along
the stream of nothing
delighted by the ripples,
sang songs
wrote poems and plays
scrawled through her phone
relentlessly for hours
did dope
with silver spoons
parted her hair
just... so,
then did it again
selfies with pursed lips
envisioned as irises with ruby petals
large enough
to engulf
the bother of existing;
she laid back on her bed
watched spiders weave
and dance
watched spiders weave
and dance
as the dogwoods grew rings
around her
she stayed in the nowhere
because there was nowhere
left to go
