Cremation

Cremation

A Poem by jsoutiere92
"

Deathly thoughtful

"

I want to be the ashes in:
"Dust to dust, ashes to ashes..."
Or what remains after burning up.
Fire lusts for fire still,
That's why it twists up higher
'Til there's nothing left but ashes.
Though I wouldn't feel bereft.
If I may believe in such a thing as phoenixes,
Then fire is a necessary catalyst.
So let my body immolate a pyre
When I've finished with my part of this,
So that I can fly again.
