I'm going to follow my feet

I'm going to follow my feet

A Poem by Diana Wolf (Jacqueline Stone)

They’ve lead me this far

The sole of my foot is what connects me to the earth

They can feel the ground much better than my head

It can see the path,

but does not notice the tiny pieces of glass

or jagged rocks

or needles from the weeds

my feet meet

If I ignore my feet

I won’t be able to walk anymore

So I’m going to keep headed towards what I want

While twisting around, or cleaning up, the hazards that could stop me in my tracks

Or at least that is how I will think about what I’m doing

As I keep my eyes trained on the path my feet lead me down
