The Key

The Key

A Poem by JustWantLove
"

You took the key to my heart from me, only to shut me out.

"

What's the deal?
Who's to blame, who's to long-live in shame?
What's the purpose of this?
Why break hearts with a kiss?
Why take promise of life?
Why fool me as my wife?
Why to steal and fool me?
Why take from me, my key?
Why did you break my heart?
Why won't you see the start?
Why did you leave me then?
...I forgive you; can I forget?
...I doubt I can, I'll try to pretend.
