Deaf ears

Deaf ears

A Poem by Jon Roggie

So easy for me now.

I made a choice.

Everyone else has to live with my decision.

I want to tell them.

I want to explain.

None of them can hear me now.

All of my self centered thoughts,
  excuses.

I can still see them.

But, they can't hear me.

I understand the poem. Deaf ears block out new direction and we locked into self centered thoughts. Hard to break free. I enjoyed this poem. Direct and honest words led the the reader into thoughts to ponder. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
