Night at the show

Night at the show

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Music blasting.
Drums pounding.
Guitars screaming.
Bass feeling like an earthquake.

Crowd is crazy.
Throwing themselves into the show.

Stand next to the rail,
  watching the show.

Getting a bit old.
Really shouldn't try to hit the pit.

Sneak in front of me.
Look back with a smile.
Almost a question.

Small in body.
Large in presence.

I know you are not looking for me.

Flash back a smile.

Enjoy the show.

Let my back take the hits.
