Relaxed, but tired

Relaxed, but tired

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Careful now.

Couple of doors down.
Need a hand?

I know the stories get to you.

I know they get to me.

The telling lets you sleep.

So,
   I must stay awake.

~ it seems like the image of someone who sacrifices his sleep for another... who has trouble sleeping... it's a very moving image of someone who stays awake by the side of the one who is suffering... even though the stories get to the one who is awake too...
