I envy the sand on the beach

I envy the sand on the beach

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Sounds silly?

Still it is true.

Constantly changed,
  leaving a smooth surface.

Sure,
  bit of seaweed,
  crab or two.

Still,
embracing the one thing that destroys,
   but constantly rebuilds you.

So,
  envy,
  while I watch.

Like myself,
waiting to see what is brought to the surface.
