Where does it begin?

Where does it begin?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Just a new rendition of an old story.

Simple slight,
and the blood is spilled across generations.

Friends in the past,
  now wage war.

Each side blames the other,
but the truth has become tainted.

Wish this is in days gone by,
but the feuds are all around.

Simple question leads.

Not where it begins,
  just where it ends.

You see this in so many instances. I think the last two lines sum it up. Thanks as always!
